2021 WRESTLING FESTIVAL

OCTOBER 23RD

On October 23rd MANU will be throwing a wrestling festival. Join us as we celebrate the sport of wrestling. The entire day will revolve around this sport that we love so much. We will have the following events on the 23rd.

1. Arizona wrestling officials clinic

2. AWCA day clinic-Arizona Wrestling Coaches Association

3. TOC-Tournament of Champions

4. Honor our Heroes

5. Wrestling Festival Party

Tournament of Champions

This is a one day tournament that will be held under the lights on our football field

Cost $25- USA Wrestling Card not required

Coaches and Spectator Fee:$5

Where: American Leadership Academy-Gilbert North

Mats: We will have 10 mats out for competition

1070 S Higley Rd Gilbert AZ, 85212

Officials: We will have AIA Certified Officials on all our mats. Our officials team will be led by none other than Charlie Jones who is the head official for all of Arizona. 

Weigh-ins: 2:00pm-All wrestlers must weigh in with a singlet. Singlet straps must be pulled up.

Wrestling begins at 4pm

Awards-Medals for 1-3 

Registration and Information will be released on September 1st on our website.

Fall Festival 

After weigh-ins we will have a pre-tourney tailgate party and a trunk-or-treat. We will have a costume party as well.

Please bring food to share  and candy for the tailgate/trunk or treat. We will have games to play and food will be sold as a fundraiser for the ALA Gilbert wrestling team.

AWCA

Arizona Wrestling Coaches Association

We are hosting our first AWCA clinic on the morning of the 23rd. We invite all those who coach boys and girls at all levels (high school, junior high, elementary, and club). This will be a great opportunity to learn from all the coaches in the state of Arizona. Breakfast and lunch will be served. We will be doing this once a year. We have over 20 programs and over 40 coaches in the AWCA. On that same day we will be inviting the entire Arizona Wrestling family to a meet and greet and also have Q and A with all coaches at the clinic.  Registration will be released on our website on September 1st.

Grow Arizona Wrestling

Proceeds of the tournament will go to growing Arizona wrestling. We will be donating money to the AZWA-Arizona Wrestling Coaches Association clinic, the Arizona Wrestling Officials Association, sponsoring Arizona wrestlers competing in the Super 32, and to WSL-Wrestling Saves Lives.

Honor our Heroes

Come join us as we honor our first responders, teachers, and coaches in a Parade of Heroes during the Tournament of Champions. All heroes that attend the tournament will be fed bbq for free.
